SHORT FILM SYNOPSIS
The short film, “Lowe,” is dramatic sci-fi that explores grief and mental health through the lens of a humanoid robot.
In this world, humanoids hold memory, intel, and data. They are conscience, social, and emotional… and on occasion they require updates. While updates improve operating systems, they often come with detrimental side effects.
This is where we meet a female identifying humanoid, SAVANNAH LOWE, also known in her network as “Van”. When prompted to get an update, we follow Van as she navigates the decision to install the update or not, with the understanding that it will likely erase her most treasured memories.
